Detail Makeover MakeBrow Light to Dark Palette REVIEW

For us girls, the most important part of our makeup is the brows. Most of us makeup junkies can say, we can go out with just our brows on fleek. Yes, I can too. Because our brows frames our face. Especially those who have sparse or thin brows, Enhancing the brows is a must. We don't want to look like a browless monster, Right?

Anyway, I had the chance to try a new brow product from a fairly new local makeup brand. So here it is.

 The packaging is really nice and simple. I love haw it looks like. The simplicity of it made it look classy and sophisticated. I also appreciate that it already shows the product inside.

  

They have 2 shades, which is #01 and #02(From left to right). #01 has the lighter set of powders and of course, #02 is darker. They included 3 different shades, 2 for the brows, so you can create that gradient effect and one for highlighting. The pots are nice and big, so you get a lot of product from it.You can also use this as your eyeshadow. I also used it to contour my nose and it worked great.

#02 is the one I tried. My hair color is darker now, so I chose the darker shades. This also includes a dual ended brush, which has a sponge tip on one end and a thin angled brush on the other. I can tell you this as a matter of fact, that the brush on this product is really nice and convenient to use. It's really thin, that you can easily shape your brows precisely the way you want it. The sponge tip is helpful for blending the inner corners and applying the highlighter on the brow bone.

So this is how it looks like on me. I used the lighter shade or brown on the inner corners of my brows and then the darker one on the other half. I also did use the highlighter on my brow bone.

Careline Liquid Eyeliner REVIEW

                                    

I found this Careline Liquid Eyeliner at the waltermart grocery. I was lured in by the cuteness of the packaging. Initially, I thought that it was a mascara, Because of the shape of the packaging. Thank God I took a good look at it instead of ignoring it. Then I saw that it was an eyeliner and grabbed it. So that was the whole story behind it. lol

So here it is. The applicator is a felt tip, which I really like. It gives me more control when I am applying it.

So here's a summary of the things that I liked and don't like about this product.

- Flakes or fades if you rub with pressure

I definitely recommend this product. The quality is very nice for its affordable price. If you haven't tried this yet, then you should.

Fashion 21 Color Set Swatches and Review

First off, I know this palette isn't new to the market. And I know I'm not the first person to do a swatch/review of this. But I just want to share my thoughts about it and this is a free country and this is my blog, So I can post anything I want here. lol. Kidding.

So my ever loving husband got me this Fashion 21 48 piece eyeshadow palette as a gift for mother's day (2015). He doesn't know anything about makeup nor makeup brands. He said he just asked the sales lady at the mall for an eyeshadow palette and this is what she gave him. (End of back story)

Here are the colors. The palette has both matte and shimmery eyeshadows ranging from bright to dark and neutral to colorful. The only thing I don't appreciate is that the colors doesn't come with names.

So on to the swatches. 

For the first two rows, we have reds, pinks, whites, and oranges.

 For the next rows, There are green and blue shades.

The third row has the purple shades and coming in are the brown shades.

Now the neutral shades are on the last two rows. These are the shades we love to use for simple and/or everyday makeup looks.

This palette has it all, matte and shimmery, colors and neutrals. I love this. It's also perfect for beginners because it has just the right amount of pigmentation and will not overwhelm those that are just newbies when it comes to applying eyeshadows. However, If you're not a beginner and are looking for a bright and pigmented eyeshadow, Don't be sad. This is very buildable and can achieve the high pigmentation you are looking for. 

The price is also perfect for beginners and stay-at-home moms like me, who are looking for a good quality makeup at a very affordable price. This is only P349 at any department store that has a fashion21 counter.

My First Ever Event - Skin 101 Bloggers Bash

So I got invited by my friend from youtube to attend an event. It's the Skin 101 Bloggers Bash. I was super excited because that will be my very first event that is related to what I do on the internet, which is blogging. I didn't know what to expect and how will the event go. Me and my friend actually arrived a little late. But we're still accommodated nicely. 

The Skin 101 clinic at Alabang Town center is nice and cozy. The ambiance is relaxing and the staff there are welcoming.

 I got to learn about their Revlite treatment from Ms. Ruby Chavez. They offer different face and body treatments that can help you achieve a more beautiful skin. Revlite Toning Facial, Diamond Peel, and Underarm Laser Hair Removal are just some of the treatments they offer.

After the very informative talk, We were informed that there is a buffet of food waiting for us. I really did not expect food to be included in this event. The food was great. I ate a lot, actually. 

This was my plate. heheh

After a nice meal, We got to listen to Dr. Jennie Diaz talk about some of the services they offer, the tools, machines and technologies they have, as well as the branches where we can get those treatments at. She was so nice and always smiling. So I felt really comfortable listening to her talk.

After the event, We received a loot bag(actually, A nice metal basket) Full of goodies.

We got 3 Skin 101 GC's, A big bottle of facial Cleanser, A big bottle of milk shampoo, A wrinkle defense stem cell serum and a BB cream. So thank you so much Skin 101 for these goodies. I'm really excited to try out your skin treatments.

Shawill CC Cream and Eyeliner Pen Review

Hey guys! I have another product review to share with you today.

I bought the Shawill CC Cream and Waterproof Volumizing Eyeliner Pen from Lazada for only P379 for the set. Very affordable, Right? 

This was my first time to try any shawill product and also my first time to try a CC Cream. 

So I'm very excited to know how it will work on my skin.

The CC Cream 

It has a thick consistency. But when you apply it on your skin, you will feel that water is separating from the cream. It feels very moisturizing. For the scent, I really enjoyed it's refreshing scent that kind of smells like lotion. I love it. 

The coverage though. It did not really cover up all the discolorations I have on my face. But It did gave my skin a nice glowing finish. 

You get a lot of product for the price.

Coverage: Light

Scent: Smells like lotion

Price: Affordable

Quantity: You get a good amount of product for its cheap price

Lasting power: It lasted for 3 hours without fading away or oiling up (summer weather)

The Eyeliner Pen

Very easy to apply. I really love it.

Not waterproof at all, but it is smudge proof.

it lasted long enough on my oily lids.

Olay Complete All Day Moisture Cream Broad Spectrum SPF15 Review

My mom sent me this Olay all day moisture cream last October. I didn't really care about it that much and I haven't started using it until mid-November. Before, I am using the iwhite Aqua moisturizer. But it didn't really do its job of moisturizing my skin. So when I finished up one sachet, I did not bother buying another. Instead, I tried using the Olay Complete All Day Moisture Cream. It already has Sunscreen with Broad Spectrum SPF15. I use this after bathing and at night after showering and cleaning my face. 

I noticed the next morning that my skin feels so soft and smooth, I can't stop touching it. I really like the effect of it on my skin. The dryness on the sides of my nose which is my biggest problem on my face is slowly going away. I really love using this product, So here's my review.

First, I will talk about the packaging. I really love the packaging not only for its color but also for the simplicity of it. It's a very eye-catching color for those girly girls like me who loves the color pink. I also love that the product completely retracts back inside the tube. It prevents you from accidentally breaking or scratching the top part of the lipstick when you put back the cover.

The shades of the lipstick are very neutral and very teen friendly. They are also perfect for everyday and simple makeup looks. I can say they have perfectly wearable shades. The smell is a plus as well. It has a hint of sweet scent that is not overwhelming at all and completely disappears after you've applied it on your lips.

It feels very light and moisturizing when applied and it glides on smoothly. In my experience with this product, It is very moisturizing and it did not cause my lips to dry and chap. But I had to reapply the product every 2 hours because it turns matte after a while. But when I removed it, It actually made my lips softer.

Considering its price (Php88.00), This is actually a really great product.
This can be found all around the Philippines at any SM Department Stores, Robinsons Department Stores and Watsons.

REVIEW: Fashion 21 Fine Blush Powder (mineral-based)

Fashion 21 Fine Blush Powder (mineral-based)

First of all, This is the first time that I bought and used a Fashion 21 product. This Fine Blush Powder from fashion 21 comes with a built in blush brush that collects powder from the inside of the container and transfer it to the cheeks evenly and it even has a small round mirror on top. I love the look of the packaging and the fact that this has it's own brush already built in. I can easily slip this in my bag and I don't even need to bring a brush. Although I must say that the brush is not very soft. It's a little scratchy but still tolerable.

I got the no. 7 shade which looks like a light orange coral tone that looks very natural when applied on my cheeks. It has very tiny gold shimmers that gives a natural glow on my face. Perfect for everyday look. This did not cause me any breakouts or allergic reactions, BUT......

The only thing that concerns me about this products is that this contains parabens. Paraben is widely used by cosmetics companies because this preserves their cosmetic products giving it longer lifespan. I read that parabens are found present in the breast tissue of some breast cancer patients. They say that it was proven that it penetrates the skin and can be found in the blood just a few minutes after application. Scary right?! But I think a lot of cosmetic products has paraben and I've never heard of makeup with paraben being one of the main source of breast cancer. So I think I'm still going to be using this blush because it works really well and gives natural color to my cheeks.

Pros:
- Handy
- Easy to use
- Very nice pigmentation on the cheeks
- The powder itself smells kind of nice
- I like the packaging
- Can easily be found on local drugstores and department stores
- Affordable for only P155

Cons:
- The brush is not very soft but tolerable
- Doesn't stay too long on my face(maybe because I'm sweaty and I always wipe sweat of my face)
- Paraben is present in the ingredients

Will I buy this product again?????
Maybe or maybe not. I can't really decide for now whether I am going to be buying more of this or not because I love a lot of things about it yet the only bad thing about it (paraben) really bothers me. If it happens that they remove paraben in the ingredients I will surely buy more of this, all shades because I really love this product.
