Detail Makeover Brand Launch

So Detail Makeover officially launches an entire line of cosmetics last July 16, 2016. I was so excited when my good friend Mhean(ThePerfectCatEye on Youtube) invited me to attend the event with her and Aiza(Mommyandhermakeup on Youtube)

If you are not yet familiar with the Detail Makeover Brand, It is a local cosmetics line that aims to provide high quality, cruelty free, and affordable beauty products to us Filipino makeup lovers.

It was so much fun in the event as we've met a lot of pretty and famous Youtubers that we idolize and look up to. We also received a box full of goodies and an All Access Pass.Yay!

                     

The event was held at The Brickyard Kitchen and Bar in QC. The place was decorated with pink and black balloons representing the Glam Rock Theme of the Event.

Hey, Hey, Hey! My name is on the VIP List right there together with famous youtubers. heheh.

My all time favorite Youtuber Ms. Anne CLutz was there and she sat beside me. As you can see, I am so happy in this photo.

All of the old and new products from Detail Makeover is presented in this Glam Rocking table where guests can try them out. Liquid lipsticks, Eyebrow and eyeliners, Contour and Blushes are displayed for us to try. These are high quality yet affordable products that we Filipinos can be proud of.

The event was so much fun. I enjoyed it so much and I am so thankful that I had the chance to attend this event.

Careline Liquid Eyeliner REVIEW

                                    

I found this Careline Liquid Eyeliner at the waltermart grocery. I was lured in by the cuteness of the packaging. Initially, I thought that it was a mascara, Because of the shape of the packaging. Thank God I took a good look at it instead of ignoring it. Then I saw that it was an eyeliner and grabbed it. So that was the whole story behind it. lol

So here it is. The applicator is a felt tip, which I really like. It gives me more control when I am applying it.

So here's a summary of the things that I liked and don't like about this product.

Pros:

- Love the packaging

- Very affordable

- Easy to find

- Love the felt tip applicator

- Pointed tip for precise and easy application

- Stayed on for 8 hours on my lids

- Doesn't smudge 

- It did not give me raccoon eyes

- No bothering scent

Cons:

- Glossy finish

- Flakes or fades if you rub with pressure

I definitely recommend this product. The quality is very nice for its affordable price. If you haven't tried this yet, then you should.

Fashion 21 Color Set Swatches and Review

First off, I know this palette isn't new to the market. And I know I'm not the first person to do a swatch/review of this. But I just want to share my thoughts about it and this is a free country and this is my blog, So I can post anything I want here. lol. Kidding.

So my ever loving husband got me this Fashion 21 48 piece eyeshadow palette as a gift for mother's day (2015). He doesn't know anything about makeup nor makeup brands. He said he just asked the sales lady at the mall for an eyeshadow palette and this is what she gave him. (End of back story)

Here are the colors. The palette has both matte and shimmery eyeshadows ranging from bright to dark and neutral to colorful. The only thing I don't appreciate is that the colors doesn't come with names.

So on to the swatches. 

For the first two rows, we have reds, pinks, whites, and oranges.

 For the next rows, There are green and blue shades.

The third row has the purple shades and coming in are the brown shades.

Now the neutral shades are on the last two rows. These are the shades we love to use for simple and/or everyday makeup looks.

This palette has it all, matte and shimmery, colors and neutrals. I love this. It's also perfect for beginners because it has just the right amount of pigmentation and will not overwhelm those that are just newbies when it comes to applying eyeshadows. However, If you're not a beginner and are looking for a bright and pigmented eyeshadow, Don't be sad. This is very buildable and can achieve the high pigmentation you are looking for. 

The price is also perfect for beginners and stay-at-home moms like me, who are looking for a good quality makeup at a very affordable price. This is only P349 at any department store that has a fashion21 counter.

Shawill CC Cream and Eyeliner Pen Review

Hey guys! I have another product review to share with you today. 

I actually did a video review about this product on my youtube channel.

I bought the Shawill CC Cream and Waterproof Volumizing Eyeliner Pen from Lazada for only P379 for the set. Very affordable, Right? 

This was my first time to try any shawill product and also my first time to try a CC Cream. 

So I'm very excited to know how it will work on my skin.

The CC Cream 

It has a thick consistency. But when you apply it on your skin, you will feel that water is separating from the cream. It feels very moisturizing. For the scent, I really enjoyed it's refreshing scent that kind of smells like lotion. I love it. 

The coverage though. It did not really cover up all the discolorations I have on my face. But It did gave my skin a nice glowing finish. 

You get a lot of product for the price.

Coverage: Light

Scent: Smells like lotion

Price: Affordable

Quantity: You get a good amount of product for its cheap price

Lasting power: It lasted for 3 hours without fading away or oiling up (summer weather)

The Eyeliner Pen

Very easy to apply. I really love it.

Not waterproof at all, but it is smudge proof.

it lasted long enough on my oily lids.

Review: Nichido Juicy Lips Lipstick

First, I will talk about the packaging. I really love the packaging not only for its color but also for the simplicity of it. It's a very eye-catching color for those girly girls like me who loves the color pink. I also love that the product completely retracts back inside the tube. It prevents you from accidentally breaking or scratching the top part of the lipstick when you put back the cover.

The shades of the lipstick are very neutral and very teen friendly. They are also perfect for everyday and simple makeup looks. I can say they have perfectly wearable shades. The smell is a plus as well. It has a hint of sweet scent that is not overwhelming at all and completely disappears after you've applied it on your lips.

It feels very light and moisturizing when applied and it glides on smoothly. In my experience with this product, It is very moisturizing and it did not cause my lips to dry and chap. But I had to reapply the product every 2 hours because it turns matte after a while. But when I removed it, It actually made my lips softer.

Considering its price (Php88.00), This is actually a really great product.
This can be found all around the Philippines at any SM Department Stores, Robinsons Department Stores and Watsons.

My Youtube Videos for September to November

So just to update my blog a bit on my activities on my channel, I will share some of my recent video uploads from last September up to the month of November. You might think it's going to be a lot of videos, But no, I didn't have too much activity on my channel as well. But here are my videos. Enjoy!

The first on is my September haul, I got a good quantity of to show in this video. Mostly beauty stuff. My makeup collection has really grown since the first makeup video I made on my channel. Almost every month I get to buy and receive new beauty stuff to add to my collection and I am really very happy about it.

Since the fall makeup trend is really popular these days, I decided to do a makeup look for it. I know I don't have all the resources for it yet, like the dark plum lip color or deep dark red, but Since I got a new Clinique lipstick from my mom and it is a brown one, I just mixed it with my pink flame and love that red lipstick from ever bilena and I think it worked well.

Now, this DIY video excites me. Because I have been wanting to do this DIY in a long time now. Finally, I did it and it turned out so nice. I already used it to the mall twice and I really like how it looked on my feet and I love how easy it is to make.

Yet another haul, this is for the month of October and November. I actually forgot to make an October haul video so I just merged both months together and this turned out to be a huge haul. The biggest haul I have ever had. Well, it was fun and I love all the stuff that I got. Most of it are from my mom, like 98.9%. I didn't even include my thrift store finds and the clothes I got from my mom as well. But I will include those in a different video.

How I Organize My Makeup

Okay, So I am super late in updating this blog. But I have been very busy the past weeks or months, So I can't really write anything. I actually just squeezed in some videos for my Youtube Channel.

I recently decided to organize my makeup area in our small house and it was actually a fun task and I got the chance to film everything. So just to give you an idea of how much makeup I own before, here's a photo.

Yeah. That's everything... Not much to look at and some are just cheap ones. Not even drugstore brand. But I have Maybeline, Nivea, Avon and ever bilena. 

So in this video, You will see how much my makeup collection have grown and how I will organize them using things that can be easily found at department stores, office supply stores and things I found around my house.

I uploaded this video like a month ago and as of now, I have added a few more products to my collection with a huge help from my mom who buys me a lot of great stuff which I am greatly thankful about.

BUsy Busy Busy

Oh my gosh. I feel like I have not been able to blog for ages. I was just too busy with editing videos and preparing my little boy for school again and also my hubby for work. I used up all my free time to film and edit videos for my Youtube channel.

Anywayzzzzzzzz. I just want to update my blog today. Here are my videos that has been taking up all my time. I just edited and uploaded a few new videos on my channel and almost all of it are about skincare and makeup.


In this video, I did a makeup tutorial using silver and black eyeshadow and very light face and lip makeup.

And the last video that I made was my current "Foundation Routine" and also a quick mini haul is included in the Video because again, I bought some stuff and it was after I did the haul video so I didn't get the chance to include the new stuff I got on my last haul.

So that s all the videos I've uploaded since I last posted a blog. I know, there's not a lot of videos but It takes a lot of time to film and edit these even though you will just watch it for a few minutes. Well I still hope you enjoy these videos and maybe learn something from them.

March Collective Makeup Haul 2013

I have been collecting makeup this year because I started a new Youtube channel which is about beauty, fashion and DIY. Some of my makeup are just the cheap ones that you can buy at tiangges and market places. So I decided to try out makeup that are found in malls and drugstores and also, makeup from avon and some other direct selling companies that are popular here in the Philippines.

Here are the products that I got all throughout the month of march.

First makeup that I got is this Avon Super Shock Max Mascara together with this Avon Style Essentials Eyelash Curler.

REVIEW: Fashion 21 Fine Blush Powder (mineral-based)

Fashion 21 Fine Blush Powder (mineral-based)

First of all, This is the first time that I bought and used a Fashion 21 product. This Fine Blush Powder from fashion 21 comes with a built in blush brush that collects powder from the inside of the container and transfer it to the cheeks evenly and it even has a small round mirror on top. I love the look of the packaging and the fact that this has it's own brush already built in. I can easily slip this in my bag and I don't even need to bring a brush. Although I must say that the brush is not very soft. It's a little scratchy but still tolerable.

I got the no. 7 shade which looks like a light orange coral tone that looks very natural when applied on my cheeks. It has very tiny gold shimmers that gives a natural glow on my face. Perfect for everyday look. This did not cause me any breakouts or allergic reactions, BUT......

The only thing that concerns me about this products is that this contains parabens. Paraben is widely used by cosmetics companies because this preserves their cosmetic products giving it longer lifespan. I read that parabens are found present in the breast tissue of some breast cancer patients. They say that it was proven that it penetrates the skin and can be found in the blood just a few minutes after application. Scary right?! But I think a lot of cosmetic products has paraben and I've never heard of makeup with paraben being one of the main source of breast cancer. So I think I'm still going to be using this blush because it works really well and gives natural color to my cheeks.

Pros:
- Handy
- Easy to use
- Very nice pigmentation on the cheeks
- The powder itself smells kind of nice
- I like the packaging
- Can easily be found on local drugstores and department stores
- Affordable for only P155

Cons:
- The brush is not very soft but tolerable
- Doesn't stay too long on my face(maybe because I'm sweaty and I always wipe sweat of my face)
- Paraben is present in the ingredients

Will I buy this product again?????
Maybe or maybe not. I can't really decide for now whether I am going to be buying more of this or not because I love a lot of things about it yet the only bad thing about it (paraben) really bothers me. If it happens that they remove paraben in the ingredients I will surely buy more of this, all shades because I really love this product.
